The Table Plan
The production of the Table Plan is one of the final preparations before your wedding day. It can be lavish or plain, themed or co-ordinated, if fact it can be exactly what you want it to be!
The information required for your plan will be a rough sketch/outline of where your tables will be at the Wedding Breakfast – liaise with your venue for this information. Lists of guest’s names per tables will also be required, you can be as formal or as informal as you like. A more formal plan will have names such as Mrs A. Atherton, you can use Christian and surnames instead i.e. Angela Atherton, or you can be very informal and friendly and just use the guests Christian names alone – the choice is entirely yours.
Angelic Creations have produced many table plans, and every single one has been different! Pictured here are just a few examples of plans recently created.
Themed plans are very popular – especially as a surprise for the groom. Some brides have plans made with the groom’s interests in mind – a golfing plan or a football plan. I was even asked this year to produce a football plan this year where half of the guests were Liverpool supporters and half were Manchester City supporters and it was ‘very’ important that I had the correct guests in the correct colours!
Co-ordinated plans are also very popular, a plan to match your table numbers, place cards and menu’s finishes off the venue with stylish finesse. A table plan can be produced to match any of the Angelic Creations Wedding stationery ranges. I am currently working on a ‘formula one’ plan, a ‘night at the Oscars’ and a ‘fairytale wedding’ table plan.
If your function has a large number of guests, to avoid any confusion and delays with seating your guests as they stream into the reception venue you could order an alphabetical plan. This plan would show the layout of the tables at the top half of the plan and guests names in alphabetical order below, with the table number next to the name for instance:

Alphabetical plans are probably a must for large weddings of 300 guests or more and really do speed up seating arrangements considerably.
Table plans are a work of art and can be used as such after the wedding; they act as a timeless reminder of your special day and all of the people that shared it with you, also a piece of art that is a complete original!
