Introduction
Chillington Hall is one of the most beautiful
country properties in the North of England and
welcomes couples who are searching for a once in a
lifetime wedding venue. It is a magnificent Georgian
country house near to the village of Brewood,
Staffordshire, and four miles northwest of
Wolverhampton. It is situated close to the M6 and
M54 motorways, and just 30 minutes away from
Birmingham airport.
The Hall has been home to the Giffard family for
more than 800 years, with the present owner being
the 29th Giffard to live there. The Hall has an
abundance of history and character providing a
magical occasion reminiscent of time gone by. The
estate dates back to 1178, with the present house
sitting in 1100 acres of park, lake and woodland
landscaped by ‘Capability Brown’. It has historical
links with many esteemed people including William
the Conqueror, Elizabeth I and Charles II, with the
current building attributed to the architect Sir
John Soane.
Chillington Hall is available for weddings on an
exclusive basis. Civil Ceremonies take place in the
stunning Long Room. The Saloon, an impressive centre
piece to the hall with its domed ceiling and huge
stone fireplace, holds up to 80 guests for the
wedding breakfast. Smaller parties may wish to use
the beautiful dining room, seating approx 30 guests.
For larger weddings and evening receptions there is
an immaculate marquee arranged on the South Lawn to
accommodate up to 250 guests. Larger parties can be
catered for on request. Chillington Hall offers a
