A
country house style hotel in Birmingham city
centre....
A
warm welcome and traditional hospitality awaits
guests at the Plough and Harrow Hotel Birmingham.
Built in 1704, originally as a wayside inn, the
hotel has over the centuries become steeped in
history and is recalled by many as being one of the
most popular places to stay in Birmingham during the
last few decades. The hotel has recently, February
2010, returned to private ownership and the owners
intend to gradually refurbish the entire hotel and
return it to its historic position as a prominent
and sought after hotel in Birmingham
The red brick Victorian architecture of the original
building together with the large garden, lawns and
plentiful car parking serves to set the Plough &
Harrow Hotel apart from other Birmingham hotels.
Wedding Receptions at the Plough & Harrow Hotel are
as important to us as they are to the Bride & Groom.
We want you to enjoy the occasion and every special
moment, so that you can treasure the memories for
years to come.
This historic Victorian hotel set in its own grounds
provides an idyllic & peaceful setting for your
wedding reception. The traditional hotel, warm
hospitality, superb food from locally sourced
produce and the “Country House in the city” setting
combine to make the Plough & Harrow Hotel an
extremely popular wedding venue in Birmingham.
The elegant Tolkien Room, with a balcony and patio
overlooking the garden, can comfortably hold up to
100 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 150 for
the evening reception.
The first floor Calthorpe Suite is a modern function
room with large windows overlooking the garden and
can hold up to 80 guests for the wedding breakfast
and 120 for an evening reception.
There is a varied choice of menus and packages
available for weddings and our Events manager will
be delighted to arrange a time to meet with you and
discuss your individual requirements in detail,
confirm the availability of dates and provide you
with a full breakdown of the costs & the deposit
required to confirm your booking.
The Hotel is licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies so
you could even get married and have the reception in
one place. More details about getting married at the
