Introduction
Walcot Hall is Georgian mansion, formerly the
residence of Lord Clive of India. As a private
family home it offers a wealth of character and
individuality to every wedding that takes place
here. Set in splendour within a country estate,
it overlooks a mile-long lake and rolling
parkland. To the rear are extensive gardens and
an Arboretum, with pools, a fountain and croquet
lawn to mention but a few. Should you choose to
host your wedding at Walcot Hall you can be sure
of a day that is not packaged in any way.
In the first instance, you are offered the rare
luxury of time; the Ballroom can be hired for a 48
hour period. Secondly you may have exclusive use of
the venue and can choose to invite 65 guests to stay
within our holiday apartments. And thirdly there is
no designated supplier list, giving you the freedom
of choice to create a wedding that suits
you perfectly, including bringing your own alcohol
with no corkage charges.

11 self-catering holiday apartments within the
estate, sleeping up to 65 guests, including a bridal
suite. Caravans and camping also available on site
and B&B’s, guests houses and hotels catering for up
to 100 guests available under a 3 mile distance.
The self catering apartments which will suit a wide
Varity of people from grandeur to more quirky
apartments such as our stunning converted chapel
secluded in our woodland which has appeared in
several magazines. The Dipping Shed that has
elevated views over the lake providing complete
tranquillity. For the more adventurous guests will
love our: Gipsy caravan, tipi, yurt and many others.
We also have a large campsite next to our Pub.

Directions by road
Walcot Hall is situated just outside the village of
Lybury North on the B4385, between Bishop’s Castle and
Craven Arms. It is approximately 20 minutes from Ludlow
or 30 minutes from Shrewsbury, by car.
Once in Lydbury North, the private drive to Walcot Hall
is situated adjacent to the Powis Arms pub. After
crossing over the lakes and bear left, following the
road that leads up to the House. Parking is to the rear
of the property.
